BOSTON, June 28 (Nationwide Times) — At least six people were injured Saturday when a duck boat overturned near a popular tourist area in Cambridge, Massachusetts, authorities said.

Cambridge police said some of the injuries were minor and two were more serious. Boston EMS later reported 11 people were injured, including one with serious injuries.

The boat overturned shortly after 3 p.m. near a boat ramp on Museum Way close to Education Street and the Charles River entrance, according to Cambridge police and Massachusetts State Police. Officials said everyone aboard was accounted for and no passengers ended up in the water.

Cambridge police spokesperson Bob Reardon said the tour boat had 32 people aboard when it turned on its side. Reardon said Cambridge Fire reported that all persons aboard had been accounted for.

The cause was not immediately clear in the initial reports. In one account, the boat was being towed when a tow rope broke. Massachusetts State Police said it would lead the investigation.
