CUMMING, Ga., Sept. 13 (Nationwide Times) — Consumers who have Ricky Joy Sour Crush Rolling Liquid Candy Bottles at home should stop using them, keep them away from children and contact the company for a refund, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission says.

The recall covers about 2.3 million bottles because the rollerball top can detach. The CPSC says the loose ball could cause serious injury or death if a person chokes on it.

Which candy bottles are included?

The recalled candy is sold in 1.85-fluid-ounce bottles. The candy is dispensed through a rollerball at the top of the bottle.

The recall includes individual bottles and three- or 12-bottle packages in these flavors:

  • Blue raspberry
  • Strawberry
  • Green apple
  • Watermelon

The CPSC says the products were sold from January 2023 through May 2026 at H-E-B, Forman Mills and other candy stores. They were also sold online through Walmart.com, CandyFunHouse.com, RickyJoy.com and other retailers.

Individual bottles sold for about $3. Multipacks sold for about $13 to $32, according to the recall information.

What should consumers do?

The CPSC says consumers should immediately stop using the bottles and take them away from children. Consumers should then contact The Ricky Joy Company for a refund.

The company’s listed phone number is 404-975-0352. The CPSC says consumers will receive a prepaid shipping label to return the recalled product. More information is available through the company’s recall page.

Consumers checking candy storage areas, children’s rooms or recent online orders should look for the small bottles and multipacks described in the recall. Because the hazard involves a detachable part, the CPSC’s instruction is to stop using the product rather than continue using it while watching for loose pieces.

What is known about injuries?

The recall information said no injuries or incidents had been reported when the recall was published. The CPSC nevertheless classified the detached rollerball as a choking hazard that could result in serious injury or death.

That warning describes the potential consequence of the product defect; it does not mean that every bottle will detach or that an injury has occurred in every case. The available recall information does not provide a reported injury total.

Who issued the recall?

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced the recall on Sept. 10, 2026. The recall directs consumers to The Ricky Joy Company for refunds. The company was identified in recall coverage as International Trade Imports LLC, doing business as The Ricky Joy Company, based in Cumming, Georgia.

The CPSC is the federal agency responsible for announcing this consumer-product safety recall. Its notice identifies the rolling ball as the source of the choking risk and provides the refund and return instructions.
