DETROIT, June 22 (Our Michigan Times) — Chevrolet officially introduced the next-generation 2027 Silverado 1500 on June 16, saying the full-size pickup will be available later this year and will give buyers four powertrain choices, including two new V8 engines.

The company described the truck as the “most powerful Silverado ever” and said it now offers the most powerful naturally aspirated V8 engine in its class. Chevrolet did not release horsepower, torque or fuel-economy figures in the announcement.

The new Silverado 1500 will offer next-generation 5.7-liter and 6.6-liter V8 engines, along with the enhanced 2.7-liter TurboMax and the Duramax 3.0-liter turbo-diesel, Chevrolet said. The company said the lineup will include seven models: ZR2, High Country, Trail Boss, Silverado, Custom Trail Boss, Custom and WT.

Inside, Chevrolet said every 2027 Silverado 1500 will come with a modern digital cockpit featuring a 16.3-inch center display and a 12.2-inch driver information center. ZR2 and High Country trims add an 11.5-inch front passenger screen, plus a head-up display and rear camera mirror.

Chevrolet said pricing will be announced later this year. The truck is expected to go on sale at the end of the year, according to the company’s product information page.
